A Volunteer opportunity arose and within 48 hours, emails to some friends and families quickly raised over $6,000. So many people are willing to give when they knew it was going to a specific purpose, rather than a large agency. While my trip was subsidized by Holy Cross Hospital in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl, I have pledged to fund the next trip. I promise that every cent donated will go to either medications, medical supplies, or living supplies (diapers, tents, etc...).
